Description

Clifford Augustson Felix the Cat #10 Story Page 17 Original Art (Dell Publ., 1965). Felix the Cat, first cartoon superstar of the early 20th century, found himself reinvented for television during the 1950s-'60s. Animator Augustson straddled the divide between the TV-'toons and the comic-book tie-in, working with Felix mainstay Joe Oriolo. In this sequence from a time-travel story, Felix and brainy kid Poindexter float away in a mysterious bubble. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12.25" x 17.75". Slight toning and corner creasing, with light staining and smudging/handling wear; otherwise in Excellent condition.
