Bill Plympton The Simpsons Season 19 DVD Box Set Animation Drawing Group of 12 (Fox, 2019). Offered in this lot is a comically bold selection of 12 original animation drawings by Bill Plympton created for The Simpsons season 19 DVD box set menu progression. Plympton currently holds the record for most Simpsons couch gags by a guest director having produced eight between 2012 and 2022, and was again hired to design the packaging and animated menu for season 19's DVD box set in 2019. Featuring a giant snake from Disc #2's progression that doubles as part of the road, the family car can be spotted stuck in the snake's front fangs as the serpent tries to flail them loose. Each of the drawings has been rendered in colored pencil on 12 field 3-peghole paper with sequence numbers found in the lower right. No cels were used in the making of this animated sequence, this is the actual artwork hand-drawn by Bill Plympton and filmed. A print of the DVD boxset cover is included for reference. These vibrant works of art showcase Plympton's extraordinary talent and his noteworthy contribution to one of television's most enduring series.
