Description
Wacky Witch and the King's Gold Little Golden Book Illustrations Original and Mechanical Art with Published Book Group of 27 (Western Publishing, 1973). Wacky Witch was one of Western Publishing/Gold Key's original properties. Here she is in a fun set of rare original line art illustrations, which have been printed on acetate and placed on illustration boards printed in light blue and painted over with gouache to make vibrant storybook images. The artists listed on the title page are Pete Alvarado, A. J. Spector, and Bob Totten. The line art is in ink on twelve double-page sheets of Bristol board; average single-page image areas are 6.5" x 9". The color artboards have the acetate overlays printed with the black line image and attached to heavy boards that have been painted, for the complete images, sans text. There are eleven double-page boards plus single title page and last page illustrations. The cover art is included, with all text on an overlay plus the line art overlay; this board measures 9.25" x 10.5" with an image area of 7.25" x 9".
