Description

Bible Storyland "Arch of Constantine" Concept Hand-Embellished Print (1959). In the proposed Rome section would be the "Arch of Constantine." The real Arch of Constantine still exists, located in Rome between the Colosseum and Palatine Hill. It was erected by the Roman Senate to commemorate Emperor Constantine the Great's victory over Maxentius at the Battle of Milvian Bridge in 312. This Bruce Bushman hand-colored brown-line design appears to have been used in many presentations, as it was mounted to board. Bottom right is printed "Nat Winecoff Enterprises Hollywood California," with the right corner noted as "Arch of Constantine Bible Storyland Inc Dec. 14 1959 Bushman 19-B." Amazing detail and pastel coloring on this 24" x 19" mounted concept drawing. Minor handling and edge wear. Very Good condition with edge wear.
