Description

The Mail Pilot Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney, 1933). In this short directed by Dave Hand, Mickey takes the task of delivering some very valuable mail. Nothing will get in his way, whether it be rain, snow, or mountains, Mickey has the skill to pilot his trusted plane through any obstacle. Not even mail-stealing Pete can stop this brave mouse from making his delivery! This is a wonderful sequence of three original animation drawings from this early Mickey Mouse short. The drawings feature fantastically-detailed images of Mickey flying his plane through snowy mountains, a sequence starting at about the 3:13 mark of the short. These great drawings are rendered with graphite and red pencil on 12 field, 2-peghole animation paper. They are numbered in their lower right corners with 6, 80, and 107. These excellent vintage drawings are in Good to Very Good condition, with some handling and edge wear, including age-related toning, minor creasing, and minor smudging. The paper is fairly brittle from age, and there are some tears around the edges of the paper (not close to the images).
