Gil Kane, Rudy Nebres, and Joe Delbeato John Carter, Warlord of Mars #5 Story Page 17 Original Art (Marvel, 1977). Stara Kan dies by his own radium pistol, laughing as he claims only he knows where Princess Dejah Thoris is hidden. John Carter watches in rage and horror on this closing page cliffhanger hand-colored over the original line art by unknown person or persons after it was printed. Ink watercolor over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Trimmed top corners, light handling wear, and discolored production tape on teh top and bottom margins.
