Description

Russell Keaton Skyroads #5 Daily Comic Strip Original Art (John F. Dille Co., 1936). Barnstorming thrills from the 1930s, born of the "Golden Age of Flight" when aviation gripped the public imagination. Launched just two years after Lindbergh's 1927 transatlantic triumph, Skyroads was among the first strips to put aviation front and center, right alongside Tailspin Tommy (1928). And that Paradise Pictures fellow in the second panel... tell us he isn't a dead ringer for James Cagney? Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 20" x 5.25". Toning, smudging, soiling, light staining, minor moisture staining, chipped corner, and minor corner/handling wear. In Very Good condition.
