Al Jaffee Tall Tales Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 4-18-59 (New York Herald Tribune, 1959). Already a presence in MAD, artist Al Jaffee re-shaped newspaper comics pages with Tall Tales -- a narrow vertical panel strip that was usually wordless, or with minimal dialogue. Incredible car parking is on display in this daily created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 2.75" x 11". Toning, discolored stat logo and syndicate paste-ups, whiteout touch-ups, with staining and handling wear. In Good condition.Auction Info
