Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael, Master Splinter, April O'Neil, Shredder, and Krang Production Cel and Animation Drawing Group of 121 (Murakami-Wolf-Swenson, c. 1987-96). The whole Turtle Team is ready for another battle with Shredder and Krang in this absolutely huge lot of original production cel sequences from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in their 1989 animated debut. Based on characters from Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird's celebrated comic, the series ran until 1996 and held the title of longest running animated series in American history for two years after its finale. Presented as a multitude separate sequences composed of both production cels and animation drawings, this lot includes the whole team with Splinter and April making their way through the sewers, individual sequences of both Raphael and Michelangelo, Shredder in three sequences including one where he's speaking to Krang on a comms device, and Krang full-figured in his robot body. The cels have each been skillfully hand-painted on acetate and the drawings rendered in graphite and colored pencils on animation paper. Across all images in this lot character sizes range from partial-figured turtles at 0.25" x 0.5" to an absolutely frame-filling Shredder at to 9" x 7.5", in cel sequences of up to 20 frames! Many of the drawings have adhered to the cels, some drawings show wear from previous adhesion removal. Debris, minor creases, small tears, paint wear/loss, and surface scuffing are present. With typical handling and edge wear the drawings range from Poor to Good and the cels range from Fair to Very Good condition.More information about Murakami-Wolf-Swenson. See also: MWS Artist.
