Marc Swayze Wow Comics #10 Mary Marvel Cover Re-Imagining Illustration Original Art (undated). Mary Marvel is on top of the world in this triumphant re-imagining of Marc Swayze's classic 1943 cover for Wow Comics #10. Where the original perched her on the peak, this version lets her stand tall and fearless, hair whipping in the thin, windy altitude. Swayze co-created Mary Marvel with Otto Binder in 1942, adding a new star to the wildly popular Captain Marvel family during the Golden Age. This lovely impressionistic piece was created edge-to-edge in mixed media on 15" x 22" Bristol board. Foxing, minor staining, corner creasing, and handling wear. Signed in the lower right and in Very Good condition.Auction Info
