Description
Randy Glasbergen The Better Half Daily Comics Panel Original Art Group of 2 (King Features Syndicate, 2014). Glasbergen's angular characters are a far cry from the style of originator Bob Barnes, who had launched The Better Half 'way back in 1956 as a chronicle of the annoyances of married life. The feature saw a shifting procession of author-artists until Glasbergen became its last cartoonist in 1982, sticking with its evolution to the end in 2014. These late-in-the-run examples skip the marriage theme in favor of general-appeal goofy business. Ink on textured bond, measuring 8" x 6" and 8" x 8".
