Description
John Buscema and Tom Palmer The Avengers #283 Story Page 21 Original Art (Marvel, 1987). Surrounded by his fellow Greek gods, an enraged Zeus watches, convinced the Avengers are committing a grievous act against his son. Unbeknownst to him, Doctor Druid is merely channeling his mental powers in a desperate attempt to revive the fallen Hercules. This intense page also features Namor, Thor, Captain Marvel, Black Knight, She-Hulk, and Captain America, setting the stage for the Avengers' epic battle with the Greek gods in the following issue. Rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board, with an image area measuring 10" x 15". Discolored screentone, production-trimmed top edge, pulled-tape abrasion on top edge, tape over page number paste-up, light smudging, editorial note in margin, whiteout touch-ups, and light handling wear.
