John Buscema and Tom Palmer The Avengers #282 Story Page 6 Original Art (Marvel, 1987). Captured and brought to Hades by Neptune, Namor becomes ensnared by Cerberus but ultimately flings the mythical creature off. Hoping to restore his strength, the Sub-Mariner dives into the river, only to confront the grim truth: he is truly in Hades, where a tentacled monstrosity could be more than he can withstand. This captivating page from "Captives" was rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board, with an image area measuring 10" x 15". Production-trimmed top edge, light smudging, whiteout touch-ups, tape over page number paste-up, blue pencil editorial notes/marks, screentone, and light handling wear. In Excellent condition.
From The Tom Palmer Collection.
