Description

Joe Beck and Otto Eppers "King Kole" Story Pages Original Art (Remington Morse, c. 1943). This is just one of the many short-lived gag pages that Harry "A" Chesler's packaging studio used to help fill out their comics. These filler pages found their way into a number of disparate titles in order to aid with pagination. Identifying where they were published can be challenging. These six pages include a three-age "King Kole's Kourt" story first appeared in Yankee Comics #5 and two of the three one-page stories, "The breakfast was good for a change" and "Won't you stay to dinner Prime Minister?" saw print in Yankee Comics #7. Each page was produced in ink over graphite on illustration board with an image area of 8.5" X 13.5", all mounted to a second illustration board with a total area of 28" X 28" square. Boards are moderately toned with moderate handling and wear. Graphite smudges, ink stains, and glue residue visible on all pages. In Very Good condition.
