Description

Jeff Aclin, Mike Esposito, and John Tartaglione Super Spider-Man #261 "The Master Plan of the Red Skull!" Story Page 1 Original Art (Marvel UK, 1978). This introduction was created for the UK reprinting of a story originally from Captain America #129, a re-imagining of multiple panels across the first seven pages of the issue featuring the Red Skull and Steve Rogers. As collectors are well aware, the credits always showed the artist of the main story being reprinted (in this case Gene Colan and Dick Ayers) but the artists of the transitional splash pages were not credited. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Light handling wear, toning, and edge soiling, with whiteout corrections and a paste-up title card. In Very Good condition.
