Detective Comics #89 (DC, 1944) CGC VF/NM 9.0 Off-white pages. Dick Sprang served up this cover's portrayal of the Cavalier of Crime, who made his second appearance in the issue. This book is notable for having the very last Crimson Avenger story of the Golden Age (the character had been in this series longer than Batman had, starting way back in issue #20!). The Boy Commandos also appear. Overstreet 2006 VF/NM 9.0 value = $916; NM- 9.2 value = $1,250. CGC census 10/06: 6 in 9.0, 4 higher.
