This scintillating scene was based on the classic cover scene for one of the most celebrated superhero comics of the Golden Age -- Green Lantern #1. Alex Ross has paid tribute to artist Sheldon Moldoff in his signature, but numerous reference sources say Howard Purcell drew the original. In any case, this is a real gem of an update.
