Super Mario Bros. 3 - VGA 90 NM+/MT Unopened, Famicom Nintendo 1988 JPN. Beautifully preserved, this Japanese copy of Super Mario Bros. 3 represents the first edition of one of the most celebrated and influential platformers ever created. Arriving nearly four months before its NES counterpart, the Famicom edition introduced players to the game, which featured timeless innovations-from an expansive world map and inventive power-ups to richly varied level design-that raised the bar for the entire genre. While the NES version is known for its two "Bros." logo text variants, this Famicom edition features a dynamic cover illustration of Mario, Peach, Luigi, and Toad fleeing King Bowser and his Koopalings, all set against a playful checkerboard motif that carries from the title screen to Princess Peach's castle.Auction Info
