Description
Joe Kubert - Tales of the Green Berets Daily Comic Strip Original Art, Group of 2 (Chicago Tribune, 1967). By the mid-sixties Joe Kubert had established himself as the premier war comic book artist, so it was only natural that he was drafted by The Chicago Tribune syndicate to draw the comic strip based on Robin Moore's bestselling book, The Green Berets. The two consecutive strips in this lot were dated 9-25 and 9-26-67. The images in panels two and three of the first daily, and panel one of the second daily were created using photostats with original art touches extending the images to their borders. The image area of each daily measures approximately 15" x 4.5". Aside from a few lettering corrections, the dailies are in Excellent condition.Auction Info
