Description
Speed Buggy RARE Title Cel with Layout Drawing plus "Tired" Speed Buggy Production Cel with Production Background Group of 2 (Hanna-Barbera, 1973-74). "Vroom-a-zoom-zoom!" Inspired in part by the Disney movie The Love Bug as well as the anime series Speed Racer, this single-season animated series followed the adventures of teenagers Mark, Debbie, and Tinker, along with a dune buggy that acts like a dog and talks (with the voice of animation legend Mel Blanc). In this zippy group is a very rare alternate curved version of the title in a hand-painted 12 field cel, placed on an original layout drawing of the teens riding in the buggy as seen in the opening. The second setup features Speed Buggy as he is often seen on the show - worn out from the face-paced action! The hand-painted 12 field cel has an image area of 5" x 4". The production background is from another short-lived show, the 1974 H-B series Devlin, but it works fine here. The cel has some paint loss and would benefit from professional restoration. This cel is in Good condition due to the paint; other items in this group are in Very Good condition with minor handling and tape (some coming loose) on the title cel peghole strip.Auction Info
