Dungeons & Dragons "The Night of No Tomorrow" Diana the Acrobat Production Cel (Marvel Studios, 1983). "Hey dragon breath, you looking for somebody?!" Diana taunts Tiamat in this original production cel from the debut episode of Marvel's 1980s Dungeons & Dragons animated series, "The Night of No Tomorrow". Debuting on September 17, 1983, this series adapted Gary Gygax's tabletop roleplaying game of the same name to film for the first time with some of the animation provided by legendary anime studio Toei who would later be known for the wildly popular series Dragon Ball and Sailor Moon. The Dungeons & Dragons series would dominate its timeslot for two years, but was unfortunately left without its intended finale when it was cancelled in the third season after 27 action-packed episodes. Diana the Acrobat can be spotted baiting the five-headed dragon and classic D&D antagonist Tiamat near the 10:14 timestamp in the hopes her party members can escape its flames. She has been hand-painted to a frame-filling closeup measuring 7.25" x 7.5" on the 12 field cel which is marked A9 in the top right and has been paired with a print background for display purposes. This marks the first time to-date Heritage has brought a production cel from this unique series to marked, having previously only offered background color keys, so don't miss out! With typical handling and edge wear including slight linework fading with small areas of restoration and pinpoint spots of paint loss in the tips of her hair, overall this quick-thinking party member is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
