Description

The Pet Store Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1932) CGC-certified as Genuine. Mickey and Minnie take a break from watching over the pet shop to engage in a quick two-step at the 4:46 mark in this classic black and white short. The smash hit film King Kong hit theaters the same year as this short and the world became obsessed with gorillas. In this Wilfred Jackson-directed short, Tony the Pet Store owner asks Mickey to mind the shop while he goes to lunch. During the dance sequence, Beppo the gorilla breaks out of his cage and takes Minnie as his Fay Wray. This is an adorable drawing of this beloved cartoon couple in full-figure that measures 4" x 4". It is rendered on 12-field, 2 peghole animation paper with the number 23 in the bottom right corner. The drawing has been certified as genuine by CGC, which does not assign grades to animation artwork. Very minor edge wear and light paper toning along the outer borders. Very Good condition.
