The Black Cauldron Taran's Costume Concept Art Group (Walt Disney, 1985). Although not considered a major success at the time of release, this animated dark fantasy has grown to cult status, and is considered a masterpiece by many fans. This film's main protagonist, the "assistant pig-keeper" Taran, is the focus of these original concept drawings. There are two sets of images each on a single backing board. On each, one is an original pencil drawing, in graphite on onionskin paper with a figure size of 6.5"; mounted next to this is a hand-colored print of Taran in the same size and pose. The first set features a rough graphite drawing, with a darkened line art print that is hand colored, while the second set is similar, but with better detail. The two colored prints are colored with markers. Backing boards measure 15.5" x 11.5" and 14" x 11". Very Good condition with minor handling wear and light tape stains.
