Description
Dumbo Original Color Model Drawings (Walt Disney, 1941). Here is an amazing assortment of four rare color models from Dumbo. The four pieces all feature the crows, a flock of boisterous crows that Timothy and Dumbo meet on their travels. At first, the crows are insensitive and laugh at the prospect of a flying elephant, but upon hearing Dumbo's story they devote themselves to helping Dumbo rescue his mother by teaching him how to fly. In visual arts, color model sheets are characters illustrations with color callouts created to provide a reference template for inkers and painters and other artists who collaborate in the production of a lengthy animated film or television series. These four color models were rendered in color marker on 12 field size animation paper. The four illustrations are housed in one frame of 30" x 24" with four matboard openings of 11" x 9". Frame sold as-is. Age-related paper toning with wrinkling and smudges. Overall condition of these vintage pieces in Good.Auction Info
