Description
Moose Hunters Goofy, Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck Pan Animation/Color Model Drawing (Walt Disney, 1937). To the stirring strains of the "William Tell Overture," our less-than-intrepid hunters Goofy, Mickey, and Donald can't paddle away fast enough in the climax to this frantically funny cartoon. This was a Ben Sharpsteen-directed short; it was first shown in theaters on 2/20/1937. Here is an original pan 5-peghole animation drawing of the boys in their canoe, trying their best to escape an angry moose; it can be found in the cartoon at the 8:20 mark. The art is in graphite and color pencils on animation paper noted as 86 in the lower right corner. The paper measures approximately 15" x 10", with color call-outs and notes throughout the piece. A great action image of three of the Fab Five, from a fan favorite short! The paper has had some professional restoration, and is mounted archivally to a backing sheet measuring 15.5" x 10.5". Art condition is Good, with a vertical crease along the left side, handling/edge wear, and some paper toning.More information about Walt Disney Studios - Fab Five.
