Description

RARE Snow White at 65th Academy Awards® Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1993). Rare production cel of the "Fairest One of All" from the 65th Academy Awards®, held March 29, 1993, at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and hosted by Billy Crystal. Snow White appeared onstage to present the OSCAR® for Best Animated Short, a category with deep Disney lineage dating back to Flowers and Trees (the first winner) and a record 39 nominations and 12 wins for Walt Disney. This exceptionally rare 12-field cel features a graceful three-quarter image of Snow White in a formal gown and tiara, hand-painted on acetate and created for the live telecast's animation segments. A Walt Disney Company seal is printed at the lower right, and the piece is elegantly framed to 21" x 16". Production cels tied to the 1993 ceremony seldom reach the market, making this an especially desirable crossover artifact for Disney and Academy collectors alike. The artwork captures the timeless charm of Snow White while honoring the artform's highest award. Includes a Disney Certificate of Authenticity. In Very Good condition. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition.
