Description
Trial of the Pink Panther Inspector Color Model with Pink Panther Production Cel Setup and The Pink Panther "Pink, Pink and Away" 30.25'' Pan Master Production Background (DePatie-Freleng/MGM, 1982/1993). The Inspector and the Pink Panther are back at it in this incredible lot! Featured are two 12 field cels, one likely a color model of the Inspector from the opening of the 1982 film Trial of the Pink Panther. The cel is signed by legendary Pink Panther creator Friz Freleng (1905 - 1995), who also created a variety of beloved Looney Tunes characters like Porky Pig and Sylvester. The second cel is a production cel of Pinky from either the 1970 or 1993 series. Both cels are presented on an outstanding 30.25'' x 10.25'' pan gouache and color pencil production background on background board from episode one of the series "Pink, Pink and Away". The pan appears starting at about 2:37 as a burglar rushes for his getaway car before it's towed. The Pink Panther cel is noted P409 and the Inspector is unlabeled with a Pink Panther seal. The background is noted BG 36. Very Good condition with only minor edge and handling wear and pinholes from studio use.Auction Info
