Description
The Pink Panther Show "Pink Press" Production Cel Setup Signed by Friz Freleng with "Lights, Camera, Voodoo" 31.5'' Pan Master Background (DePatie-Freleng/MGM, 1978/1993). Presented in this lot is a showstopping 12 field production cel from the 1978 short "Pink Press" and a pan Master background from "Lights, Camera, Voodoo". These cartoons were originally released on 12/6/78 and 11/16/93 respectively, following Pinky as he tried to interview a millionaire and Pinky as he took a job as a security guard at a movie studio. The cel can be found at roughly 0:46 as Pinky nervously walks back to his editor's office, inked in his classic pink linework and signed by the character's creator Friz Freleng (1905 - 1995) with a Pink Panther seal. The amazing 31.5'' x 10.5'' gouache and color pencil pan Master background is rendered on background board and appears at roughly 0:24 as the camera pans out to show the crowd. It's full of so many fun details, including the name of the studio and outrageous film billboard. The cel is noted 1729 and the background is marked BG 6. Very Good condition with minor edge and handling wear and faint debris.Auction Info
