Description
Peter Pan Mermaids Color Model Cel Group of 3 (Walt Disney, 1953). Three playful mermaids take the center stage with these wonderful hand-painted and hand-inked color model cels from Disney's animated film, Peter Pan. These gorgeous images were used during the movie's production to showcase the correct way to paint these famous characters. This lot includes a full-figure image of the 4" x 4.75" red-haired mermaid, alike the one at the 37:56 timestamp, a 3.25" x 5.25" waving blond mermaid similar to that seen at the 37:03, and a different blond mermaid measuring 3.25" x 3", comparable to the one that appears at the 37:56 mark. The color model cels are featured together on a printed background for presentation purposes. Very light paint wear can be seen on the linework of the waving mermaid. Overall, the condition is Very Good, showcasing minor handling and edge wear from production.From the Ken O’Connor Archive.
