Description

Who Found Roger Rabbit Toontown Pre-Production Background (Walt Disney/Amblin, c. 1980s-90s). A preliminary background painting of Toon Town from a proposed but never made short, Who Found Roger Rabbit. Not only does the city appear illustrated and animated, but the whole environment has an imaginary, fantasy, almost dreamlike atmosphere. Not only do cartoon characters live there but even the buildings, cars are all animated with their own personalities, and stylistic movement. This ominous painting depicts the "evil buildings" in Toon Town. Rendered using gouache on background board of 17" x 12". The background has a protective cel overlay. Condition is Fine.
