Description
Tom & Jerry "Tom and Chérie" Layout Drawing Group of 2 (MGM, 1955). Presented in this lot are two beautiful 12 field 3-peghole layout drawings from the 94th episode of Tom & Jerry titled "Tom and Chérie". The episode was released in 1955 and followed Mouseketeer Jerry's young pupil, Nibbles, as he tried to get past Tom to deliver Jerry's letters to Chérie. The little mouse is successful, but Jerry's love doesn't last. The final versions of these drawings can be found at about 5:41 (the letter in Jerry's hand) and 6:06 (the beaten-up pupil approaching Tom). The pages are rendered in graphite with color pencil. The second page has a variety of notes about the layout size and lettering. The pages are labeled Prod. #299 and have the scene numbers 28 and 29. In addition to this, there is a production stamp along the bottom border of each. Light age-related toning with some edge and handling wear. This includes pinholes, a reinforced peghole, faded stains, faint smudging, and a small tear on the bottom of the second layout. Very Good condition.Auction Info
