"Three Kings" Christmas Card Illustration Signed by Ralph Hulett (c. 1950s). Presented is an astounding original Christmas card illustration by the hand of the lauded Disney background artist Ralph Hulett (1915 - 1974). A recurring theme in his Designer's Showcase holiday greeting cards is the birth of Jesus Christ, often depicting the three kings as they travel by camel through swirling, colorful landscapes beautifully rendered in gouache on illustration board. A member of the prestigious American Watercolor Society, Ralph Hulett is widely known for his prolific output and raw natural talent, creating Disney background artwork from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) all the way into the 1970s. This painting measures 12.25" x 5", bears the signature of the artist, and it shows minor handling and edge wear.
