Underneath the mask, Racer X, the driver behind car #9 "Shooting Star," is Rex Racer, Speed's missing older brother. From the acclaimed anime series Speed Racer, known originally in Japan as Mach GoGoGo, we have in this lot an emblematic image of the mysterious Racer X behind the wheel, measuring 9.5" x 8.75". This phenomenal hand-painted and hand-inked limited edition cel is an Artist Proof, numbered #19/20. This rare, long-sold out, cel will for sure revive memories of the thrilling adventures of the animated show. The cel bears a Speed Racer stamp in the bottom left corner, and it's numbered A.P. #19/20 near the signature of Ippei Kuri, executive producer of the show. Presented on a printed background. Minor handling wear, with light wear on the linework and the airbrushed effect on the windshield. In Very Good condition.
