Captain Harlock: Arcadia of My Youth - Endless Orbit SSX Captain Harlock Production Cel with Production Background (Toei Animation, c. 1982-83). From the anime series Captain Harlock: Arcadia of My Youth, we have in this lot a hand-painted production cel showing a stupendous image of our main character. This 22-episode anime continued the story of the 1982 movie Arcadia of My Youth, as Harlock and his crew search for a mythical utopian planet while fighting the Illumidas. The show saw great popularity in France, where it was titled Albator. Presenting Harlock in his black outfit, this 12-field cel is numbered A36 in the top right corner, showing the captain measuring a figure size of 5" x 7". The cel is displayed on a production background, created in gouache on a 14.25" x 9" three-peghole background board. Signs of professional restoration can be seen on the linework. In Very Good condition with minor handling and edge wear from production.Auction Info
