Description
Shiskabugs Yosemite Sam Production Cel (Warner Brothers, 1962). "Bring me Hasenpfeffer" Being a King's cook is not all it's cracked up to be in this hilarious short, directed by the legendary Friz Freleng (1906 - 1995). In it, Sam is tasked with cooking up something called "Hasenpfeffer," the main ingredient of which is rabbit. This is an actual hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of Yosemite Sam as the King's cook and it can be seen around the 4:27 mark as the King rejects his meal and threatens to have Sam drawn and quartered. Vintage Looney Tunes production cels are incredibly rare, and this one is from the cartoon that introduced the word "Hasenpfeffer" into the lexicon of virtually every Bugs Bunny fan. The image measures approximately 4" on a 12 field cel over a print of a production background by Irv Wyner from Friz Freleng's unit. Condition is Very Good.Auction Info
