The Famous Adventures of Mr. Magoo Original Storyboard Art Group of 33 (UPA, c. 1964-65). Here's an impressive collection of 33 original storyboards from the cartoon series The Famous Adventures of Mr. Magoo. The animated television series was produced by United Productions of America (known colloquially as UPA) from 1964 to 1965. The series featured stalwart voice actor Jim Backus in the title role. This amazing selection of storyboards is from the episodes Gunga Din (intro), Three Musketeers (part II), Moby Dick (intro), King Arthur (intro), Noah's Ark (intro), Snow White (part I), Don Quixote (trailer and intro), William Tell (intro), Treasure Island (intro and intro act II). A storyboard is a graphic organizer that consists of illustrations or images displayed in sequence for the purpose of pre-visualizing a motion picture, animated feature film, or cartoon short. They are mainly used for planning the production. Things like type of camera shot, angle, and blocking of characters are decided. These boards were rendered with pen over graphite and blue pencil on 8.5" x 11" UPA storyboard paper. The storyboards exhibit mild toning and edge wear, as well as light smudging from production use. Some of the pages are stapled together. All in Good to Very Good condition.Auction Info
