Description
The Smurfs "Wishing Well" Valentine Card Illustration Preliminary Drawing (Hanna-Barbera, 1984). Mean old Gargamel finds love (with Sea Witch, of all people), thanks to Cupid at the Wishing Well, in this drawing made for a Smurfs Valentine's Day card. Smurfette doesn't seem too happy, but Gargamel is about to swoon! Fun piece, tightly rendered in graphite on paper, which has been trimmed and mounted to a sheet of 12 field animation paper, which in turn is lightly affixed to a blue backing board measuring 10.75" x 13.25". The image size is approximately 8" x 8.75". The animation paper has some wrinkling, but overall condition is Very Good with handling wear.Auction Info
