Saturday Supercade Pitfall! First Episode Title Cel Setup (Ruby-Spears, 1983). Saturday Supercade was a Saturday morning animated series based on popular arcade games like Frogger and Donkey Kong. Pitfall! was a comical adventure series based on the game; seven episodes were produces for this anthology series. Here's the original hand-painted 12 field 4-cel title card setup for the very first episode, "Pitfall's Panda Puzzle," which aired on 9/17/1983. Stars Pitfall Harry, his niece Rhonda, and eye patch-wearing pet mountain lion Quickclaw appear with a pirate treasure; their combined image size (including the palm tree) is approximately 3.5" x 5.5". The setup is placed on the original card stock background as used onscreen. A rare piece of production art from this too-brief series! Condition is Very Good with minor handling wear.Auction Info
