Description
The Autograph Hound Donald Duck Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1939) CGC-certified as Genuine. Donald is caught by the Hollywood Studios guard, in this energetic drawing from the theatrical short directed by Jack King. About to be arrested at the 5:35 mark, Shirley Temple yells "You can't arrest him, he's Donald Duck!" which sends the rest of the studio stars flocking. This entertaining short features an array Hollywood's Golden Age celebrities including Garbo, Gable and the Marx Brothers. The drawing is rendered in graphite, and colored pencil on a 12 field 5-peghole sheet of animation paper and overall image measures 7" x 4.5". It's numbered 6 in the lower right corner and includes ink and paint notes beneath the art. The piece is sealed in a mylar sleeve and has been certified as genuine by CGC, which does not assign grades to animation artwork. Very minor edge wear and light paper toning along the outer borders.
