Jeff Jones H2O Original Art (undated). Though primarily known as a painter, Jones also excelled at pen-and-ink illustration, with an emphasis on weird fantasy. His creation of a creature called Peezel Meeps (pictured) was Jones' homage to the great comics fantasist George Herriman, of Krazy Kat renown. This large-matted miniature depicts that outlandish creature wielding a witching-stick, or divining rod, in a search for water. (Hence the ostensibly cryptic title, H2O.) Power and grace to spare in a tiny ink-on-board image area of 5" x 2.5". Matted out to 15" x 13". A dreamlike study that demonstrates Jones' mastery of the medium. Excellent condition.
