Description
A Knight for a Day Castle Tower Production Background (Walt Disney, 1946). Goofy is the template for every character in this medieval-themed, Jack Hannah-directed short, which was first shown in theaters on 3/8/1946. Here's an original hand-painted 12 field production background of the tower that is shown in a slow pan up, beginning at the :51 mark in online viewings. The top of the tower has extensions that are revealed to contain a veiled Princess Esmeralda. Any Disney Castle is always welcome with collectors, and this one is pretty cool... not to mention gravity-defying! The overall image size is approximately 11" x 8.5", and the artboard is in Very Good condition with minor handling wear.From the Disney Artist/Director Ted Berman Archive.
