Donald's Golf Game Donald Duck Production Cel Courvoisier Setup (Walt Disney, 1938). "This has gone far enough!" Donald shows everything that can go wrong on a golf course will go wrong if your three mischievous nephews serve as caddies in the classic theatrical short "Donald's Golf Game". Offered here is an exceptional hand-inked hand-painted production cel of Donald in full golfing regalia with golf bag, clubs and balls engaged in one of his classic tantrums. The cels of Donald, his golf bag, and the little blue bird together measure approximately 8" x 6" and have all been meticulously trimmed to the image and mounted onto a hand-painted background. The setup is in its original Courvoisier Galleries mat with light penciling of the title to the lower left and a WDP stamp to the lower right of the aperture. The original Courvoisier sticker is on the back of the frame and curiously bears the title "How to Play Golf" rather than "Donald's Golf Game". Disney scholars will know that the title "How to Play Golf" was eventually used for a Goofy short produced six years later in 1944. This remarkable image is not to be found in the final cut of "Donald's Golf Game" and is likely from an edited scene. For fans of Donald, golf and everything in between, this is an absolute must have. The nearly 90-year-old setup shows minor line wear and a small glue stain by the bill of Donald's cap. Condition is Very Good. The art is in a 17.5" x 16.5 " frame under glass with a mat opening of 9" x 7". All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition.
