The End of Evangelion Asuka Langley Soryu Production Cel (Gainax, 1997). "'Annihilate them,' she says... That's a lot to ask of someone who was just comatose. Nine in three minutes, 30 seconds. That's 20 seconds each!" The fiery pilot of Eva Unit 02, Asuka Langley Soryu, singlehandedly battles nine monstrous mass-produced Evangelion units in this spectacular original production cel. This is a dramatic closeup from the unforgettable and harrowing scene, seen at the 37:58 mark of the thrilling conclusion to Neon Genesis Evangelion, The End of Evangelion. The great Mitsuo Iso is credited with animating much of the masterfully crafted sequence. A must-have for any fan of the beloved character, Asuka is hand-painted large, nearly filling the 14" x 9" cel. The piece is numbered A25 in the upper right corner, and it shows minor handling and edge wear with a spot of black showing some wear. A great image of a fan-favorite character, this piece from the climactic conclusion of the celebrated series is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
