Description
Princess Mononoke "Ashitaka Rides into Battle" Sold-Out Ashitaka and Yakul Limited Edition Cel #5/20 (Studio Ghibli, 1997). Ashitaka finds himself in battle on his travels and readies an arrow to strike, determined to reach the village he's searching for. The eye-catching hand-painted limited edition cel reproduces Ashitaka and Yakul as they appear at about 13:32 in the fan-favorite film Princess Mononoke. The feature film was released on 7/12/1997 broke more than one box office record, becoming the highest grossing domestic film in Japan until Spirited Away was released in 2001. This rare limited edition is numbered five out of only 20 created and has been long sold-out, displayed in a 12.5'' x 7'' mat window and 17.5'' x 12'' glass-fronted frame. The mat features a Studio Ghibli Museum embossed seal and the lot comes with a stamped Studio Ghibli Museum COA as well as the original 13'' x 18.5'' x 1.5'' box. All frames are sold as-is.
