Description

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Snow White in the Forest Concept Drawing (Walt Disney, 1937). This gorgeous original story sketch depicts one of the most memorable sequences in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the frightening part of the film in which the terrified Snow White flees from the Evil Queen into a forest, which seems to come alive with malicious creatures and trees. This beautiful image is created with graphite and red pencil on 12 field, 5-peghole animation paper, and it depicts Snow White as the hem of her dress is grabbed by one of the "log crocodiles." This drawing bears resemblance to much of Ferdinand Horvath's concept and story sketches for the sequence, and it is possible that the piece was created by him. The piece is in Good to Very Good condition, with some handling and edge wear, including age-related toning, some smudging, minor creasing, and pinholes in the corners.
