Description

Who Framed Roger Rabbit Roger Rabbit Production Cel (Walt Disney/Amblin, 1988). "You mean to tell me that you could have taken your hand outta that cuff at any time?!" Eddie Valiant is wholly outraged at Roger's animated antics in this original production cel from the critically acclaimed feature film Who Framed Roger Rabbit. An innovative combination of live-action and animation brought to life by a collaboration between Disney's Touchstone Pictures and Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment, Roger Rabbit premiered on June 22, 1988, and would go on to win four Academy Awards as it paved the way for the Disney Renaissance. This high-energy scene can be spotted near the 45:02 timestamp just after Eddie discovers Roger could have easily maneuvered his way out of the handcuffs with a simple application of the "squeeze and stretch" animation method. Roger is featured nearly full-figured with a hand-painted character size of 6" x 9" on the 16 field cel which bears a Disney seal in the lower left and production codes under the mat. The piece has been placed on a screen-matching black-and-white photographic print background featuring Eddie for display purposes, and has been matted to an overall size of 22" x 17" with an aperture of 15" x 10". With typical handling and edge wear, overall this outstanding production cel is in Very Good condition.
