Description
Carl Barks "Eureka" Scrooge McDuck SOLD-OUT Limited Edition Figurine #200/3000 (Walt Disney/Florence Scultere d'Arte, 1997). Uncle Scrooge's enormous fortune began right at this moment in 1898 when, while prospecting in the Klondike, he uncovered a huge nugget of gold. This lavish hand-painted porcelain figure of Scrooge standing in the river with his pick ax and nugget stands approximately 12" high atop a 1.75" high wooden base, which measures about 9.5" across. This intricate, highly-detailed statue was designed by Italian artist Giuseppe Armani, based on the 1996 Carl Barks painting "Eureka! A Goose Egg Nugget!". Incised signatures of Carl Barks and Giuseppe Armani can be found on the back of the large rock Scrooge is resting one foot on; it was also hand-signed by Armani. The piece is in Very Good condition with a few small dings on the wooden base, and a spot of Scrooge's hat appears to have been chipped and repainted; it still looks fantastic, and if you are a fan of Carl Barks, don't miss this!Auction Info
