Description

Mickey's Christmas Carol Scrooge and Donald Storybook Layout Original Art by Ron Dias plus Published Page Display (Walt Disney, 1999). Cigar-smoking Ghost of Christmas Future (played by Bad Pete) shows Ebenezer (Scrooge McDuck) his future tombstone and open grave in this eerie storybook preliminary illustration by Ron Dias (1937 - 2013). Films Ron worked on during his time at Disney Studios include Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Beauty and the Beast. He also worked on former Disney director Don Bluth's masterpiece The Secret of NIMH. This layout drawing is in graphite and blue pencil on onionskin paper with typed text affixed above the image; the size of the image is approximately 6" x 5.75" and is hand-signed by the late Mr. Dias. The matching page from the published book is matted next to the art, for comparison. The mat openings measure 7" x 8.25" (art) and 6" x 7.25" (page), and the art is framed with glass for an overall size of 20.75" x 15". All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. The art is in Very Good condition with minor handling wear.
