Description

Robot Carnival "Chicken Man and Red Neck" Production Cel Setup with Key Master Background (A.P.P.P., 1987). The drunkard Chicken Man cowers in a back alley as he witnesses the terrifying mechanical chaos throughout Tokyo in this magnificent hand-painted original production cel setup from the "Chicken Man and Red Neck" segment of the sci fi anthology film Robot Carnival. Presented on its original Key Master background rendered in gouache, this incredible piece can be seen at the 1:18:01 mark of the film, as seen on YouTube. Astonishingly rare and elaborate, this setup containing a rarely seen original background is a must-have for fans of the celebrated anthology. Backgrounds of this segment were created by Hiroshige Sawai, and the short was directed by Takashi Nakamura. The piece shows minor handling and edge wear due to normal studio use, and it shows tape and stapling near the top edge. The condition overall is Very Good.
