Harper Goff 19" x 27.75" Original Gouache Painting (1956). Renowned artist and Disney Legend Harper Goff (1911- 1993), showcases in this lot a magnificent original gouache painting that presents a pleasant view of a marina on a cloudy day. A man of many talents, Goff's is recognized for his work as art director of the 1954 Disney live-action film 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and his involvement with the early stages of Disneyland, creating concept art for what was called Mickey Mouse Park at the time, besides being the banjo player for the famous band Firehouse Five Plus Two. This sizeable 19" x 27.75" painting features Goff's impressive artistic skills, framing a lovely image of the peaceful landscape packed with a stunning amount of detail, signed by the artist in the bottom right corner. One can almost hear the sound of water under the dock and the wood creaking coming out of this remarkable piece of original art! The lot is offered on a 44" x 24" Plexiglas-fronted frame. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. The painting shows faint handling wear and small water stains in the water area.
